Important Tax Reminders

Remember… your income tax preparation fee includes year-round tax help and planning. We encourage you to call us and stay in touch throughout the year. Our goal is to provide as much value as possible for the fee you pay us.

Here are a few reminders for upcoming deadlines:

• Multop office will be closed on Saturdays, open weekdays 9-6.
• 1/31 is the deadline for employers to mail out Form W-2 and for businesses to furnish Form 1099 statements.
• 2/16 is the deadline for providing Forms 1099-B and 1099-S to recipients.
• 3/15 is the deadline for corporate tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120A, and 1120S), or to request automatic 6-month extension of time to file (Form 7004).
• 4/18 is the deadline to file individual tax returns (Form 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ) or to request an automatic extension (Form 4868). It is also the last day to make a retroactive contribution to a traditional IRA, Roth IRA, Health Savings Account, SEP-IRA, or solo 401(k).

4/18 is also the deadline to file estate income tax or trust income tax returns (Form 1041).

Note: Due to a holiday for District of Columbia on Friday, April 15th, tax deadlines are extended to Monday.

Multop Financial Develops 401(k) Market

Multop’s own Ted Newman has been assigned to expand and develop Multop Financial’s presence in the 401(k) market.
